The R8 MKII PRECIOUS mechanical belt buckle is an evolution of the original HE 8 / R8 MK I series created by Roland Iten in 2003. The beautifully distinctive and elegant design of the MK II PRECIOUS Series is afforded by its sleeker body and is the ideal accessory for those situations when a Gentleman would like to make a discrete statement regarding his discerning taste and status.

Working together with Purdey, the custom gun company, on the limited edition of the R8 Mark I AUTHENTIC gave Roland the opportunity to tour their factory, see how their guns open up and feel the power of the springs. This inspired him to create a spring loaded belt deployed in eight positions. The R81 GOLDFINGER “Gibson Edition” Suspension Belt functions via a patented trigger mechanism which delivers 8 degrees/ 25mm of calibration along a ratchet barrel construction.

R82 Double Ardillon Belt Buckle

Codename: COBRA

The Calibre R82 is, without a doubt, the most complicated piece in the ROLAND ITEN collection with over 150 engineered parts. In contrast, however, to the serious mechanics which comprise this buckle, the Gentleman who prefers discretion may choose to wear the R82 because it reveals no more than a traditional solid gold frame. The principle upon which the R82 functions is tension. With one smooth movement, the buckle lever transports the ardillon across the carriage by 35mm. The same lever movement tightens two integrated springs in the hinges on either side of the buckle which activates a locking mechanism securing the buckle in the active wear position. To convert the buckle to the relaxed position, two side triggers are employed which ejects the buckle lever instantly, thereby releasing the tension. The stealth speed at which this belt performs has inspired its code name ‘Cobra’.

An evolution of the original Z shaped, spring ejection, double-bullet cufflinks created by Roland Iten in 2004, the RZ8 MK II ZILETTO Slyders are 100% engineered and manufactured in Geneva, Switzerland and incorporate two new improved and patent-pending features: -a sophisticated push-button ejection mechanism and a unique click-controlled, sliding sleeve calibration system.
